Stay away! It may be a bargain in price but in every other way it is too much: Too much time to get the pizza, too much pizza dough, too much on the toppings, mediocre sauce, too many calories with too little flavor. Nasty.

A great local pizza joint whose prices have not kept pace with the times (this is a good thing!). Only seating at four tables inside, so plan to take out. They have pizza (of course), grinders, calzones and salads (I think). I took advantage of the lunch special which was a small one-topping pizza and a soda for $6.00. That's a good deal! It's really enough for two people to enjoy (mine had bacon on it....mmm, bacon). There aren't many places where two people can get their fill for $6!

Favorite local pizza place, a rough diamond in the heart of Wickford. My favorite local pizza place, run in the old school method. You don't come here to be coddled or catered to, you come here for great pizza, calzones, fries, and chicken wings, and you damn well thank the man for taking the time to cook for you. Do not waste the man's time, he does not take that kind of malarkey and lets you know right quick. The service is fast and efficient, if you're ever in need of a proper way to soak up the hangover, are nursing a monstrous hunger, or just want to sample some great pizza, come here.

Was passing through so popped in for some quick to go. It was a little after lunch and the place was empty. Took my order of an Italian calzone and Greek salad with chicken- told me 10 minutes. So I shopped a few nearby stores, which can pass time quicker than you'd think! Returned back for my food hot and ready to go! Both the salad and calzone were delicious. They have a side marinara and Italian for the calzone which only enhanced the delicious meaty cheesiness. The salad was huge and offered plenty of everything!

Being new to the area, The Place has quickly become our go-to for grinders, salads and pizza! The Place is a no frills place where you can grab some really solid pizzeria style grub, at a decent price and chow-down! The actual inside is small and has bare bones seating and a basic menu posted above the oven. The guy that normally mans the kitchen doesn't say much but is a decent guy and churns out stuff pretty quickly. I've tried some of my personal favorites (pizza, chicken cutlet grinder, onion rings, salads) and everything has been on point. Delivery was pretty speedy too. As long as The Place churns out yummy grinders and pizza at a reasonable price, I'll keep on coming back!

Ok the food... AMAZING! Some of the best pizza around! Heart of wickford and the summer time they have awesome lunch specials. I wish they had better customer service but hey the disgruntled staff... it grows on you.

This place is our go to spot on the weekends! I absolutely love their French fries and entire menu! Prices our so low compared to anywhere else. Only problem is the guy at the counter can seem rude at times, but hey, he's a busy man!

thank you Wickford - I always go to the cluttered antique/junk shop next door, it is a beautiful amazing reflecting the old stuff saavy vision of two charismatic yankee sisters, plus affordable - I have to compliment The Place first on their signage - nothing busy about it, four simple signs, hand made: Grinders. says one. Calzone states the other. Clear as day. It has no atmosphere and a hot tattooed guy at the counter - I got me a Meatball Grinder with no cheese. The bread was made somewhere, not obviously artisnal, which is annoying, but without those weird live forever chemical binders, the grinder wasn't too busy, and the wait was just the right amount of time. $7 for a Minute Maid lemonade and the Grinder, but if I'd been smart I would've gotten the $7 for Grinder, Fries, and Soda deal. Excellente. A woman came in wearing a short fake fur off white vest over her I Don't Care laundry outfit, and ordered a ziti and garlic bread. That has to mean they are stellar and for a second I regretted my loss of a garlic bread sample, but I shall return in the Spring. Stay Open, The Place, even if Wickford's died.

Excellent value. Can get a small one topping pizza and a 20 oz soda for $6! Pizza is very good. Dough and cheese are well cooked. Sauce could use a little more flavor and could have been more abundant but overall it was great.

I was really surprised at this place when I tried it last summer. Wickford is this snotty little village where just about everything is overpriced and I thought The Place would be no different. I was not only pleasantly mistaken about their prices, but they were downright cheap. More importantly, the pizzas there are loaded with toppings. The best in the whole town in my experience. I walk the village often and ruin all the calories I burn by bringing home a pizza from The Place. One minor irritation, they don't take credit cards of any kind. Just checks and cash which is a pain, but not worth skipping the place by any means. Never had anything else but pizza there, but I imagine all is as good and generous in the ingredients as the pizza....Highly recommended..

Great little spot right in the heart of Wickford. Open till 10 last I checked. Parking is pretty easy. Food is solid.
